You may check our 'open hours' for Adoration at any time using the 'Mass Times & Directions' button in the lower right corner of your screen. This reflects the most up to date times and locations for Adoration. During these listed times, walk-ins are welcome, and no appointment or sign-in is required. If you are a volunteer Adorer signing in for a shift, or if you would like to sign up as a volunteer, please click the button below. Please note that the volunteer portal is fully bilingual.
We are building our Adoration Program with the goal of eventually offering Perpetual Adoration. If you are interested in helping us achieve this goal, please read on for more information on our needs and how to contact us with any questions.
Two kinds of volunteers make up the bedrock of our Adoration Ministry here at STM: 1) Committed Adorers, and 2) Substitute Adorers (Emergency Substitutes)
Committed Adorers
Committed Adorers "own" the same hour on a recurring basis; this can be once a month, once a week, once every other week, etc. Committed Adorers pledge their consistent availability and devotion to Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. However, we understand that emergencies, unexpected illnesses, and planned travel may occasionally be necessary. This is where the role of the Substitute Adorer comes in (below).
Substitute adorers
Substitute Adorers do not have a regular recurring commitment to be present at Adoration. When a Committed Adorer must cancel their availability due to a personal emergency or scheduled vacation time, or an hour remains unfilled, a Substitute Adorer makes themselves available to cover the shift. When a Committed Adorer requests a substitute in our system, this triggers an automatic "Adoration Substitute Request" to go out to everyone on our Substitute Adorer list via email or text. Substitute Adorers may then choose to ignore or respond to the request. Substitutes may also customize the hours they are available to assist as a substitute, ensuring they only receive substitute requests that work with their schedule. Substitutes may also unsubscribe from receiving requests at any time.
