Death and Bereavement

Here are some of the offerings available to you if you or someone you love is dying or has died:

Hospice and dying

• For urgent priest requests, call the parish office at 919-942-1040 or for urgent off-hours requests call the Sacramental Emergency line at 919-960-7699.
• For Eucharistic visits and non-urgent sacramental requests contact Matt Sullivan (Phone: 919-810-9227)

Someone died
Call 911. If someone just died in your home, call emergency services for further instructions about next steps and connecting to a funeral home. If you are in hospice, you can call your hospice team.

Plan a funeral
Contact Deacon Stephen Yates (Phone 919-942-6231 ext. 0940) to pre-plan, schedule or plan funeral services. You may also visit the Funerals page for more information.
