Adopt-A-Seminarian Signup

Adopt-a-Seminarian is a yearly project that encourages parishioners to adopt and pray for one of our Diocesan seminarians, as well as our other diocesan & parish vocations, throughout their academic year. Participants are committing to pray for their recipient daily until May 2026. This project is coordinated by our parish Vocations Ministry. 

At St. Thomas More Church: 

• Pray while walking our outdoor Stations of the Cross

• Pray for your Seminarian at Eucharistic Adoration

• Request a Mass Intention for your adoptee (call the parish office at 919-942-1040)

At Home:

• Write a letter to introduce yourself and write throughout your “adoption”

• Pray a Rosary for your adoptee, by yourself or as a family

• Add your recipient to your Christmas card list

• Add your recipient and remember their intentions in your usual prayer routine

• Send a birthday card to your recipient

• Pray a Novena for Vocations

  • Novena for Vocations (Diocese of Raleigh)

  • Novena for Vocations (Diocese of Brooklyn)

Sample Note of Affirmation:

Dear (Name),
 
Welcome to the (Your Last Name) family! You have been spiritually adopted and are now a part of our daily prayer life. You can be confident that we are praying every day for your protection, perseverance and peace. We are grateful and inspired by your “Yes” to God’s call.
